Just watched Thor to see what all the fuss was about.
Yes, okay, I understand and accept I have a bit of a thing for psychotic but pretty bad boys, but if you could avoid me suddenly having a *very* clear mental image to that revelation whilst I'm watching a movie with my parents that would be great. Thanks.
I kind of want fic, but not necessarily enough to search it out.
Also watched Atonement. Now, based on the above you'd have thought I'd have a lot of material from this film. What with Benedict Cumberbatch being kind of pretty. And a baddie. And in the movie.
You know he grew it specially.
But I think it really you know, proved himself as an actor. I've only seen him in a few bits before, mainly The Last Enemy, Amazing Grace, and Fortysomething. (And Cabin Pressure, but that's radio.) Seeing him outside of my own comfort zone (kiddie rape and sad endings are not usually my thing) was really interesting. He gave this really amazing performance where he had about, I dunno, half an hour of screen time, and about twenty minutes in he reveals himself as Ickmeister General, and then the last we see of him till half an hour till the end of the movie (by this time we're about half an hour in) is him snoring on a couch. But he overshadows the whole movie- he's never far from anyone's thoughts, and he's so believable. I wish we'd seen what became of him though. But then, no one got a satisfying ending, so... Yay for equal inequality?
Some mild spoilers for Thor, Atonement
